John Worrell became the Director of Electric Systems at Greenville Utilities in 2021. He joined GUC in 1987 as the Substation Engineering Coordinator and has since served as the Electric Planning Engineer and Assistant Director of Electric Systems.
John holds a B.S. in Industrial Technology/Electrical from East Carolina University. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), the North Carolina Eastern Municipal Power Agency Rate Committee, and is an American Public Power Association (APPA) Certified Key Public Power Account Executive.
