Today is the State of North Carolina’s Wastewater Professionals Appreciation Day, and we have a lot of Wastewater Professionals here at GUC! From our Wastewater Treatment Plant staff to our service crews, we have professionals working every day to protect public health and the environment. Wastewater collection/treatment is a 24-hour-a-day, 7-day-a-week responsibility, and many are unaware of the critical role wastewater professionals play in public health response as they collect and submit wastewater samples for disease monitoring to help track public health threats.
