10:56pm UDATE - all power has been restored. If you remain without power, please give our dispatch a call at 1-855-752-7166. Thank you all for your patience this evening. If you missed the earlier update, this outage was caused by a vehicle accident. 10:40pm UPDATE - Customers along Old Stantonsburg Road remain without power and should be back up soon. 10:30pm UPDATE - 1,000 customers remain without power and should be back up very soon. 10:12pm UPDATE/CAUSE - All power should be restored within the next 10 minutes. The cause: a vehicle accident at Stantonsburg Rd and the Bypass took down one of our transmission lines. 10:05pm UPDATE - Most of MacGregor Downs area is back on. 9:55pm UPDATE - Crews are beginning to restore power. 13,000 customers remaining without service. 9:46pm UPDATE- Crews are working the outage and hope to have power back up within 45 minutes. 17,275 customers are currently without power. Our Gas Department is conducting an annual inspection of our natural gas pipelines. To maintain the safety of our pipelines, all portions of the gas system must be inspected in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines to ensure compliance, system operation, and public safety. ☑️ Work has started and will take place between now and July. People living along or near gas pipelines may notice a contractor from Southern Cross Utilities Inspection Services conducting the inspection for GUC. Their work involves walking around roads, fields, and yards, including all gas meters.
