GUC is asking all customers to take a few moments today to stop, look, and listen. ➡️ More information on how to find a leak and what to do about it is on our website https://bit.ly/4kaCFt2. If you suspect or have a leak, please call our Hotline at 1-855-SOS-2GUC (1-855-767-2482). 2 days 21 hours ago 💙 A heartfelt thank you to our employees and customers for really coming through! We say all the time that we have the best customers, and it truly showed with how well you all responded to our request to cut back a little on energy usage these past 24 hours. It’s one thing for us to see our crews out there battling the weather to keep the utilities going. It’s another to see you all step up and do your part to stabilize the grid. 💙 Also, a big shoutout to employees from our water and wastewater treatment plants, electric crews, gas crews, water/sewer distribution crews, and our operations support group for sharing photos and videos they shot (safely) while working around the clock during and after the storm. 📸 Check out our story feed for some videos. Enjoy and stay safe. 3 days ago ❄️ Due to hazardous driving conditions, Greenville Utilities offices will remain closed on Tuesday, February 3rd, and will reopen at 10 A.M. on Wednesday, February 4th. ❄️ Our crews remain on standby if needed, and you can still take care of GUC business on our website, www.guc.com. 4 days ago Energy Alert Update 2/1/26 @ 4.25pm - We are asking all of our electric customers to reduce energy usage over the next 12-24 hours. Crews are close to getting Cobblestone back on. 4 days 19 hours ago As we come into the height of the storm, please take note of ways to prevent power surges should you lose power. OUTAGE ALERT - We do currently have customers in the Westhaven subdivision experiencing an outage due to a blown fuse. Crews are having to energize transformers to ID the issue. UPDATE 9:16pm - Crews are still working hard. This is an underground area, so it’s harder to ID and fix, especially with the snow. It's anticipated to take at least another hour. UPDATE 9:40pm - Westhaven has been restored. If you’re in Westhaven and still experiencing an outage, please give us a call. Stay safe! And keep our Emergency Hotline handy: 855-767-2482 or 855-SOS-2GUC. 5 days 5 hours ago ❄️ In the midst of this weekend’s snowstorm is another hidden problem – low temperatures. Temperatures are expected to stay below freezing until Monday afternoon and then drop below freezing again Monday night. ❄️ While none of us can control the weather, we do encourage customers to take steps to reduce energy usage and lower bills as much as possible. We advise that you focus your efforts on the biggest energy users – heating/cooling systems and water heating. ❄️ A few posts below this a short video with GUC’s Jonathan Sergeant explaining the top three ways to save energy right now.
