Use the number to report any utility-related emergencies. We also recommend that you save your GUC account number in the same location. UPDATE 4:48 PM - We currently have 141 customers who remain without power. These outages are associated with downed poles and will take longer. Thank you all for your patience as our crews work as quickly and safely as they can. ALERT 1:56 PM - Please be aware that GUC crews are handling multiple outages due to high winds and downed trees ahead of the storm. Today we’re sharing an inside look at our Gas Service Specialists, the team responsible for working directly with customers to maintain, repair, and restore residential gas services. These employees handle everything from meter maintenance to customer leak calls and service cut-ons and cut-offs. They are often the face of our Gas Department in the field, providing not only technical expertise, but also customer care during stressful situations. 📆 A typical day for them involves: • Performing residential gas meter changeouts and upgrades. • Responding to customer leak calls and service interruptions. • Cutting on and cutting off gas services as requested or required. • Inspecting and maintaining gas meters for safety and reliability. • Repainting meters to prevent corrosion and extend equipment life. • Repairing meter set leaks and replacing aged equipment. • Communicating clearly and respectfully with customers. 👏 Their work ensures that residential gas service remains safe, efficient, and reliable, providing peace of mind to thousands of homes across our service area.
