21 hours ago A little rain couldn’t stop us from having a great time with the kids at Eastern Elementary School's Touch-A-Truck today! 2 days 12 hours ago Happy GIS Day! 🗺 Today, our GIS team visited ECU to share the work they do every day. Most people don’t realize just how much Geographic Information Systems (GIS) shape our daily lives. GIS provides our operating departments with tools for mapping, data analysis, and utility management. Join us in recognizing the professionals who make our world more connected. GIS is no longer limited to maps. It’s special intelligence that drives both our everyday decisions and our long-term planning. It’s predicting outcomes and designing solutions. We’d truly be lost without them! 3 days 13 hours ago Today, these employees spent their lunch break volunteering for the second GUC Community Cleanup event, picking up litter at West Meadowbrook Park in honor of National Recycling Day. We are proud of our teams for competing against utilities from around the state in events that display their skills in safely providing reliable service to our customers 24/7. 🏆 Congrats to our “Tapped Out” systems distribution team for coming in 2nd in the Pipe Tapping event - which is only their second year in competing! This is a skill competition in which teams compete for the best time in opening a cement-lined, ductile iron pipe and installing a tap. 🏆 Congrats also to our “Barrell Boys” Water Plant staff on placing 2nd in the Hydrant Hysteria competition! In this event, teams are judged on their ability to quickly and safely assemble a fire hydrant. Help us congratulate Corbin Congleton, Kyle Veneski, Hayden Hardy, Patrick Smith, Matthew Clark, Tripp Morgan, and Luke Hagee on their accomplishments! 2 weeks 1 day ago ☀ Have you secured your panels for North Carolina’s SECOND publicly owned community solar project located right here in Greenville?
